I experimented with methamphetamine out of curiosity and got addicted to the drug very quickly. My using frequency also increased very rapidly and my life soon revolved around using drugs and having sex with using "buddies", at the expense of my family and my job. Accepting that I was unable to handle the situation on my own, I decided to seek help. 

Much as I wanted to seek help, I didn’t think I was entirely ready to embark on the recovery journey. I was still ambivalent about drug use and I was feeling apprehensive about my attitude. I later found out that this concern of mine was unfounded as The Greenhouse community accepted me wholeheartedly. 

I have been sober for around 2 years now and I have no doubt that I owe my sobriety to The Greenhouse. I am truly grateful to The Greenhouse for the chance to rebuild my life. I have learnt so much about my addiction and coping strategies that I can readily apply when I'm faced with intense cravings for drugs. The Greenhouse also provides a very safe and friendly environment for those with addiction to bond and share mutual experience, strength and hope.
